Quick and easy when you need dessert in a hurry.
16 two-inch squares
1 cup (6 ounces) GUITTARD REAL SEMISWEET CHOCOLATE CHIPS
1/4 cup butter
2 large eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease 8x8-inch pan. Combine chips and butter in top of double boiler over low heat, stirring constantly until melted and smooth. Remove from heat; set aside to cool.
Beat eggs, sugar, and vanilla in medium bowl until light and fluffy, about 1 minute. Stir in melted chocolate. Add flour and salt, stirring only until combined.
Turn batter into prepared pan. Bake 25-28 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in center still has moist crumbs on it. When cool, cut into 2-inch squares.
Microwave instructions: Heat chips and butter in small microproof bowl at medium power (50% or level 5) for 2-3 minutes, stirring well after each minute initially, then at 30 second intervals until smooth. Proceed as directed above.
Brownies with chips: Stir 1 cup of your favorite GUITTARD CHIPS (Akoma Extra Semisweet, 63% Extra Dark, Real Milk, Choc-Au-Lait, Butterscotch or Mint) into batter. Proceed as directed above.
