Regarded as one of America's best pastry chefs, Sherry Yard embarks on a new adventure as chef/owner of the Helms Bakery in Los Angeles. For the last 20 years Yard was the executive pastry chef for the Wolfgang Puck empire. Whether at Spago, Beverly Hills, CUT London or Chinois,Santa Monica, Sherry wowed guests with the artistry and flavors of her famous bakery delights.

Then it was off to dazzle thousands with her famous desserts at the annual Grammy, Emmy and Oscar Awards. Today Sherry can be found at the farmer's market selecting the finest fruits for her marmalades, breads and seasonal sweets for her new passion; Helm's Bakery.

Yard holds honors that include Bon Appetit's Best Pastry Chef of the Year, Women Chef and Restaurateurs Golden Bowl and the James Beard award for Outstanding Pastry Chef. Her book, The Secrets of Baking, won her a James Beard award for best baking book and Desserts by the Yard shares her culinary quests from Brooklyn to Beverly Hills.
